St Matthews

St Matthew’s is a church which Delimited’s managing director, Justin, holds very closely to his heart. They were looking for a brand refresh, including a new logo, as well as a new website.

For the logo, we went down the illustration route, creating something which incorporated key features of the church and its immediate surroundings to make it recognisable and unique. This included the church itself, trees representing Le Guet and the sea with a fishing boat in the background – the church is known as the Fisherman’s Church after all! For the typeface, we selected something simple, smart and easy to read; the soft palette of colours – blue and pink – represent the church’s coastal location and its iconic pink granite.

The previous website had an excessive number of pages, so the first step was condensing all the information into fewer pages so that the menu isn’t cluttered and it’s now easier for the user to navigate easily.

Appearance-wise, the website is clean and includes plenty of images as well as our own illustrations which tie in with the logo style and give the site its own distinct unique identity.
