How We Can Help

We generally work onsite with our clients as a valued part of their team, working with stakeholders within the business to build up our knowledge and understanding of their data, processes and goals. Our goal is to act as enablers for your team – ensuring that they have the tools and information at hand to be able to focus on doing their job; and without wasting billable hours doing things manually.

We are able and willing to follow your internal processes when completing a data project. However, if this is the first time you have undertaken a project of this type we have a standard approach mapped below.

What To Expect

After having a look through our website, we hope you would like to get in touch with us and talk about starting your new project. Great! Once you have sent us an email or given us a call, members of our team will arrange to have a no obligation chat with you to discuss your needs.

Depending on the size of the project, we might be able to move straight onto planning, but frequently we will ask for access to your systems so that we can determine the overall scope and complexity of the work, thus helping us provide you with accurate timelines and quotes.

Once we have completed discovery, we will write a proposal and design document. As appropriate to the project, this will outline the high level design, the work to be done, the acceptance criteria and the expected timelines, as well as a quote.

Frequently, data work forms part of a larger internal project, or needs to fit within an internal project structure. Where this is the case, our team will ensure the documents fit in with any guidance we have received.

If you are happy with what we have provided, we will then arrange a kick-off meeting and send through a contract to sign before implementation begins. We recommend that at this stage you provide a main point of contact for the project (a project manager or technical lead) and a backup contact in case of holiday or sickness.

Implementation

Implementation will closely follow the plan laid out in the planning phase. Should there be any expectations of a change to the plan (from either party) then we will work with our main point of contact to adjust any schedules accordingly.

In general, we will work to our internal design, coding and testing processes and standards when delivering a project, but if you have pre-existent standards and processes then we will work with these.

Each separate deliverable will be sent to our main point of contact, or to your release management team, to allow you to test and provide feedback.

After any change we would advise a review to check that we have achieved what the project set out to do.
